Pharmacy Museum in Wroclaw

Museum Treasures

Visiting a museum is always a great idea for getting away from daily worries, refreshing your mind, and finding treasures. At the beginning of summer, I visited Pharmacy Museum in Wroclaw (Poland), where I'd never been before. There was so much to explore and, in this blog post, I will show you this place in pictures.

A visit to a museum is a search for beauty, truth, and meaning in our lives. Go to museums as often as you can.

Wroclaw Pharmacy Museum is a small but amazing place demonstrating the evolution of pharmacy over the centuries, from alchemy laboratories to early 20th-century pharmacy.

The museum has about 5-6 small rooms filled with a lot of apothecary things: dried herbs, minerals, various shapes of jars, glass bulbs, containers, medicines, old equipment, and more.

Things that Inspire

In addition to fabulous vintage furniture, I especially liked the different packaging designs of bottles and tins with lovely graphic elements and typography. At So Quiet, I like to use vintage apothecary labels and retro food labels as a source of inspiration for the design of our cards and prints. So when my mind needs refreshing, a museum like this one is always a wonderful place for that.

Vintage Color Palette

I always admire the look of spaces featuring vintage or vintage-inspired elements and decor. The colors of these spaces are gentle on the eye. When we look at a lot of vintage stuff at once, we notice that earthy and desaturated tones are everywhere. Vintage color palettes can be varied but tend to be more muted. Our minds always have reactions to seeing colors. And I think a vintage color palette can make us feel calm, and even slow us down to enjoy the present moment. Perhaps that's why the atmosphere of museum spaces and vintage cafe or bookshop interiors is always relaxing.

I was really fascinated by this place, and I hope you enjoyed this little tour. I've also recently created a Vintage Things board on my Pinterest while writing this post. So if you get some inspiration from this kind of thing, follow me on Pinterest.

🍊 Question For You: Do you like old vintage stuff? What is the most interesting museum/art gallery you have visited recently (or this year)? Share in the comments!

That's it for now friends. I’ll be back soon to share my latest works. Wish you have a great day! ♡
